Gery's body of writing work goes back to 1987 as a part-time staff writer with his college newspaper. Within six months, he was offered the Features Editor position and the following year he was promoted to Senior Editor. During that time he served as the spokesperson for the paper and its staff representing the free speech rights to school administrators and helping to protect student rights through the power of the pen. Since that time he has worked for publications such as Cox Media Ohio , Dayton Daily News Marketing Publications, Xenia Daily Gazette, Oregon Computer Journal, GLD Enterprises & Productions Publications, Women's News & Views, and many others.

Gery's personal technology column, "Techno-Babble," offers readers information and how-to advice about home technology and computer topics. The column has been featured in several local and national publications and online at various technology sites since 1998.

Gery also provides publicity, special publications, and web content for three companies including GLD Enterprises & Productions, Deer Computer Consulting, Ltd., and GLD Enterprises Whip Artistry Studio. He currently writes all media publications for all of these businesses as well as promotional material for his entertainment group and personal endeavors.
