DEER IN HEADLINES Syndicated weekly column and podcast by Gery L. Deer Fore more than 20 years, Gery has provided columns to various regional and national publications covering subjects from political opinion to technology. His unique background gives Gery a singular perspective on the world around us and his goal is always to educate and inspire independent thought on any subject. Gery's first weekly column was a series based on his background as a technical support specialist, programmer and database developer. Each article was designed to help the average person cope with the rapid fire pace of advancing computer and internet technology in the late 1990's. Titled, "Techno-Babble," the column was carried in local Ohio newspapers as well as online publications and on the Deer Computer Consulting, Ltd. website, where it is still a feature today. Gery's current column is called DEER IN HEADLINES. The editorial column is featured on the opinion/editorial pages of several print newspapers and online publications. The name comes from Gery's fascination with the human condition and addresses why we make the choices we do, how government and our environment shape our lives and decision making practices.
